The Machine

The Basics

The Human Powered Frozen Beverage Machine, also known to many as the world’s largest snow cone machine, is a favorite show attraction. It is a “Willy Wonka meets Rube Goldberg” show stopper.
The machine fits within a booth space that is 10’ x 10’ wide, stands 8 feet tall in diameter, and requires no electricity.  It can also fit through a standard doorway.
This hand crafted machine gets the attention of kids and adults alike. It is truly an original. It brings notoriety to any event.

How it works

The individual first loads their cup on to the conveyor.  Then they lower the ice grinder via a rope attached to some rings.  Next, they then add ice by pulling on a belt attached to a pulley.  They then advance the cup under the ice grinder by cranking a handle attached to the conveyor.  Next, they sound a train whistle to announce that the wheel is about to get started.  They then run or walk in the wheel to grind their ice.  When the cup is full, they advance their cup via the conveyor further down the line.  Here, the individual pulls a lever to activate a large plastic mallet that smashes the crushed ice into the cup.  Then they exit the wheel and move the cup to the next operation on the conveyor belt.  At this location, they apply the flavorings of their choice by activating shower heads, which pours the pressurized flavorings on to the ice.  Tons of fun!
